Composer Deena T. Grossman creates lyrical, illuminative music that is deeply rooted in the natural world and synergistically integrates a unique range of global stylistic influences. Her music mirrors the rhythms, patterns and fluidity of nature highlighting a universal interconnectedness and the importance of environmental stewardship.

She has worked closely with some of 20th century classical music’s most forward-thinking and influential figures, including Lou Harrison and Thea Musgrave, and holds a Master of Music degree from Rice University, Shepherd School of Music.

Her discography on the Moonbridge label includes Waterlilies, Wildfires and Waterways and Becoming Durga. Deena lives in Portland, Oregon and is the Columbia Riverkeeper Composer-in-Residence.
